A few words from the Founder

I started Music City Masonry Contractors in 1987 after spending over 9 years working my way up from laborer, to mason tender, to mason and finally job foreman, for another company. I had the desire to “run my own shop” so I took and passed the contractor’s licensing exam, gathered a crew together and got to work. It seems like yesterday. I had no idea, when I started MCMC how much the masonry field would evolve and how important those 9 years of field experience would prove to be. When we started we worked mostly on residential construction, mainly new homes and apartments, and gradually started to bid on and be awarded small commercial project in the early 90’s. We developed a reputation of providing quality work on time and continued to grow. The size and complexity of the projects also increased.

I was lucky enough to have my daughter, Brandy, join me in 1997 and with the hard work and experience she gained performing project management, estimating and bidding and overseeing the day to day operation of our office she was able to purchase a majority share of the company from me in 2009.

Our field managers have over 30 years combined experience…

Brothers Bubba and Rusty Waller, our project superintendents, worked as journeymen masons for over 10 years before joining MCMC. They bring a wealth of masonry experience to our client’s projects and have been invaluable in training and retaining some of the best tradesmen in this area.

Update!

At the start of the new year (2009), Brandy George (Majority Owner) and Bubba Waller purchased owership of Music City Masonry Contractors from the founder of the company Jeffery W. George. Brandy and Bubba, along with the staff and employees of MCMC, are dedicated to continuing the tradition that Jeff established of providing excellent service to our clients.

Brandy has started the process to get Music City Masonry Contractors certified as a WBE (Woman Business Enterprise) and expects to receive the certification status by mid year. So if you have a project that requires minority business participation, MCMC will soon be able to help you meet that requirement.
